When asked why she chose to have Joseph hold Jesus Kate shared, "I didn't really understand the significance of what I was drawing with Joseph holding Jesus, but I did that because I wanted that connection to be highlighted." Kate shared further insights into details of the painting, "When I went to go draw the wise men, I cannot put into words what it was, but the spirit was like, this is exactly what the wise men need to look like... it came together so quickly" This artwork is not just a depiction of the Holy Family: it serves as a visual representation of the message that through Christ, all things come together, and all paths lead to Him.
