"This was for my friend and her little family, and her passing her testimony on to her family." The painting is a heartfelt tribute, as Kate reflects, "It was a hard one, too. I cried a lot painting it." It's this genuine emotion that Kate hopes she has shared with the viewer, that moment when "a mother passes her testimony on to her children while her husband is there in support." The intertwining of testimonies between spouses, "a couple's testimony together," and their collective influence on their children is a central theme.
